Math Is Everwhere

Michael Kanas and Alexcia Sillem, two high school math teachers from Fefan Island, Chuuk, demonstrate concepts of ethnomathematics to draw relationships between math and culture.

Michael uses geometry to measure common features of most Micronesian homesites (water tank, cook house, gravesite, and breadfruit trees).
